Aquaterra Team

For over 30 years, members and volunteers of Aquaterra, including students from the Faculty of Biology, have had the privilege of accessing the organizational and educational resources of the Ecological Society Aquaterra for their free professional training.

These opportunities have shaped them into skilled young naturalists and biologists who, over time, have become leading experts in various fields such as zoology, ichthyology, entomology, malacology, ornithology, mammalogy (mammal studies), herpetology (amphibian and reptile studies), botany, and biodiversity research.

Their expertise has extended to the study and conservation of Natura 2000 habitats, supported by sponsorships, donations from long-standing members, successful program grants awarded by national and international foundations, and research projects funded through competitive tenders organized by the Ministry of Research (CNCSIS) since 1996. These sustained efforts have solidified Aquaterra’s role as a cornerstone in ecological education and biodiversity conservation.
